About Us
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids excel academically.
We support young students in achieving personal and intellectual growth, inspiring them
to nurture curiosity and pursue their goals with determination, ultimately empowering
them to create change in our community and beyond.
Help on the Go was established through a partnership between the Salvation Army and our youth leaders during the
COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, when schools and churches were closed. As a result, many students faced issues like
academic disengagement, depression, and social anxiety because of isolation and remote learning.
In response, our youth leaders developed an online platform to offer academic support, mentorship, and a sense
of community to their peers through Zoom.
Currently, Help on the Go provides tutoring in subjects such as math, reading, writing, science, and history, along with enrichment activities like Science Bowl, National History Day, 3D printing, art, and music—resources that many of the families
we support struggle to afford.
What We Do
Collaborating with international students in South Korea to support underprivileged youth from diverse backgrounds.
