Planting Seeds of Change
Want kids to eat vegetables? Grow them !. A children's vegetable garden can be a fun and educational way to involve kids in gardening. It's important to choose easy-to-grow vegetables and fruits that kids enjoy, like cherry tomatoes, radishes, carrots, and strawberries. A bit of creativity, like incorporating unique shapes or allowing kids to choose their favorite plants, can make the experience even more engaging.
Summer Camp
Positive impact while gaining valuable experience
Every summer, our student volunteers join the Salvation Army Summer Day Camp as counselors, helping with academics, science, music, and art. This role allows them to contribute to the development of young people's skills and relationships.
The camp serves underprivileged youth, including children affected by domestic violence and refugees.
It's a great opportunity for our volunteers to make a positive
impact while gaining valuable experience.
